Abstract Submission
We warmly invite researchers, academics, clinicians, and students to submit an abstract or workshop proposal.
This is an exceptional opportunity to present your latest research and connect with peers, in discussing the future of research and contribution.
Submission Deadline is 22 November at 23:59
All submissions will be evaluated by originality, interest, and relevance to ISPID members. This will confirm the type of presentation and scientific theme and/or session you will be accepted into . While abstracts that do not present results will be accepted for submission, they will likely not score highly.
Themes
- Pathology
- Investigation of child death including child death review
- Physiology
- Public health and prevention (encompassing epidemiology and education)
- Bereavement
Abstract Guidelines
- All abstracts are to be structured using the headings of Aims, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
- 300 words maximum.
- One figure or one table maximum.
- Abstracts that present recently published data will be scored higher.
Thematic Panel Guidelines
- The 60-minute thematic panels will include the title and an overview of the panel's theme (150 words maxiumum) and 4 abstracts in the format required for oral presentations (300 words maximum each).
- All abstracts are to be structured using the headings of Aims, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
- Abstracts that present recently published data will be scored higher.
Workshop Guidelines
- All workshops should include a brief summary of the workshop.
- You will need to include an overview of the workshop structure including aims, objectives and general structure for the workshop.
- 750 words maximum.
ISPID Global Travel Award
Are you an early career researcher, or a professional planning to apply for the ISPID global travel award?
ISPID global travel awards are made to early career researchers or postgraduate professionals working in the field of sudden infant or child death, from any discipline, conducting research
into sudden infant or child death. These awards provide funding towards conference registration and travel. Eligible candidates must be ISPID members, and those applying as early career researchers registered for a PhD or be within three years of their PhD being awarded. Awards are determined based on the quality of scientific abstracts; applicants will be notified of awards by the end of January 2027.
ISPID LMIC Travel Award
Are you an early career researcher or professional from a Lower Middle-Income Country (LMIC) planning to apply for the ISPID LMIC travel award?
ISPID LMIC travel awards are made to early career researchers or professionals working in the field of sudden infant or child death. These awards provide funding towards conference registration, subsistence and travel. Eligible candidates must be ISPID
members, and those applying as early career researchers registered for a PhD or be within three years of their PhD being awarded. Awards are determined based on the quality of scientific abstracts; applicants will be notified of awards by the end of January 2027.
